Usman Ahmed is a Trauma & Orthopaedic Surgeon with over 17 years of experience in the NHS. He completed his clinical training in the West Midlands & Yorkshire before taking up a consultant post in Worcestershire. In addtion to his clinical training he has completed a PhD in a lab-based clinical project which including the development of machine learning algorithms. He holds a leadership role with NHS England Workforce, Training and Education (formerly Health Education England) and is responsible for the development of the Postgraduate Virtual Learning Environment. He has experience in clinical service development and optimisation, digital technology development and implementation, human resource development and management, as well as familiarity of the governance and compliance associated with these areas.
